So what, if the man doesn't like the graphics he doesn't like em. If he only cared about stories or gameplay would he be a story whore or gameplay whore?

I should also reply to your second part. Graphics whores put how detailed they think the graphics should be over just about everything else, including the art direction, how discinct everything lookes, and other things that are still visually related. I know this because Twilight Princess overall had stronger graphics than Resident Evil 4, but because the art direction didn't go the detailed route, reviewers claimed the graphics weren't as good.

So what, if a person wants to play only games that have super detailed graphics because that is what they like should they not be allowed to do that and voice their displeasure when something doesn't measure up? Same for any other factor in a game for that matter.

It's not disliking the graphics. He's claiming the graphics are so bad, you can mistake them for a magazine scan. That's just not what the graphics look like. One is a personal taste, and the other is a claim of resemblance.

Except you said you thought he was "just a graphics whore" before even bringing that up. Regardless he thinks they look bad, thats his opinion and you really have no basis to call him out on such. It's funny because I was on kotaku and clicked on the pictures and didn't read the article and thought they looked good, but then again im not him so whatever.

I did just address that in another comment. His graphics whoring is to ignore that the overall look and art direction are the same, and declare the game looks like something it doesn't. There is a difference.

it does look different, they, TRY to apply the same art style, it doesn't give me the same eerie feeling VC did.

That's not what he's doing. He's not telling us he would prefer the game like that (there would be clear language to state such a thing in his comments). He's telling us the game looks bad. Not to him, but looking bad objectively (hence the claim it can be confused for a magazine scan).

That's probably due to lack of the uncanny valley.

Actually he is claiming the screenshots look bad, which could be for other reasons other than the game itself looking bad.

Edit: Nevermind I just reread what he wrote and I kind of agree he is being a little out of line, though definately not as bad as you make him out to be.

I was actually thinking about that at first, but then the "these are proper screenshots" line.

The thing is that aside from the edges, those screenshots look like proper screenshots of other PSP games. No better, no worse. He's seeing something that's not there.

I edited my post after rereading his comments.

kinda like it, gave the characters some feeling.

The thing is that he's been kind of a jerk to things he doesn't like in many other posts he's written. This is one of the milder things he's written, but still just wrong.

He is very out of line. That guy has about the brains of my beagle which isin't very impressive. If he thought their wouldn't be a difference he must be on some sort of drugs.
