Technically you can, but BS only released their first album starting on 1970, so I'm not sure what you'd be nominating them for

Yeah, they formed in 1967, but their first album was released in 1970 so I thought I would hold fire until the 70's nominations. I just saw them on the nominations board and though they must be doing this from the time they formed.

as long as band is officialy active (i.e. they have formed and not split up) during a decade you can nominate them.

Yeah, but at least in my case, I skipped Zeppelin and Floyd for the 70s because I think that's their decade where they shone, not in the 60s
