My guess is Ubisoft backed off on the idea after the game's performance on the other systems. No reason in bothering to make extra effort if it's no longer a franchise they care about.

the game was never announced for wii so it isnt vaporware.

Not sure if it was actually announced for Wii, but I don't think Ubi has given up on the franchise entirely. A HAWX iPhone game was just released yesterday on Apples AppStore.
