The time it takes to get through 12 system updates, installing game demos, installing game patches which is greater than what it takes to do it on Xbox Live probably comes up to between 2-5 hours a year depending on what you're doing. Its not long enough to really effectively get up and do something else and not short enough that it wouldn't be a bother.

Now you have to decide whether you'll base it on your salary rate or the time you'd charge for giving up your leisure time. If your time isn't worth anything then you probably get your games from your parents.

But there you have it, PSN is probably more expensive than Live if you place a dollar value on your time.

i would agree, but i dont think psn is that slow compared to xboxlive that in the end it would be more of a waste of money...i mean its def. slower, but not that slow to install and stuff...its not that bad at all

I don't pay any money for playing Tekken 6 online with my friends, thats all i need to know PSN > XBL for people on a a set amount of money. im sure the service is great but nothing is worth paying online for anymore imo.

Whats the difference between Gold and Silver? In Gold, you're paying so you can host your own games....say that out loud.

Paying to play host my own game...not dedicated servers, but to play online. Every other feature is in Silver (voice chat, ads, etc...) except that one feature...insane.
