Wait, wow. I haven't heard of a Rayman game in a long time!
| 6.5 | Presentation Decent, though you can tell this is a pretty direct port of the front-end menu and cinema scenes used in the earliest releases of this game from the mid-'90s. There are even a few loading times. |
| 9.0 | Graphics Gorgeous. Rayman's animation is fluid and funny, some of the best spritework done in the mid-'90s for any platform. The colors pop here on the DSi, and the touch screen map is helpful. |
| 8.0 | Sound Vintage Rayman tunes pump out of the DSi's speakers, and gamers who've played this one before will be amused by the intact effects work -- like the deep-voiced "Yeah!" that ends a level. |
| 8.0 | Gameplay A great, uncomplicated platformer design that starts simply, then gives you more and more abilities over time. This game can be truly challenging at some times, though, so don't expect a cakewalk. |
| 7.0 | Lasting Appeal There were a few special edition Rayman releases in the late '90s that added more content than what you'll find here, so this probably isn't the definitive Rayman. Still a good, long quest though. |
