Microsoft's exclusive racing series continues to impress.

The company announced today Forza Motorsport 3 sales have surpassed one million units worldwide in its first month at retail. Developed by Redmond-based Turn 10 Studios, the third installment of the series has also logged more than 6.6 million online hours from its community, while amassing over 590 million miles. That's good for more than three trips from the Earth to the Sun and back, you know.

Microsoft also announced a new "Hot Holidays" car pack, available today on Xbox LIVE for 400 points, adding several new cars to your garage. The complete list of cars include: 1. 2010 Ferrari 599XX 2. 2010 Mercedes SLR Stirling Moss 3. 2010 Lamborghini LP6700-4 SV 4. 2010 Porsche Panamera Turbo 5. 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia 6. 2010 Jaguar XFR 7. 2010 Audi S4 8. 2009 Aston Martin #007 AMR Lola 9. 2009 Audi #2 Sport Team Joest R15 TDI 10. 2010 Nissan GT-R Spec V

There will also be another car pack available on January 12, 2010 to coincide with the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

Looks like VGchartz overtracked a bit, but not too bad.

It deserves sooo much more than that. The game is amazing, here's hopes to at least another 3 mil.

The 10' Nissan GTR V-Spec is pure car porn.

Must say Polyphony designed a pretty good dashboard screen for the GTR ;) Even the digital clock works in Forza 3! (Tied to your Xbox 360 time)

My only problem is that the GTR understeers quite badly for some reason. May do a drive train swap so it's RWD.

oh wow.. GT5 is gonna rip forza in sales... oh well.. its still a gr8 game..

If so then ts more then slightly overtracked.

By no means is it bad sales. I'm not saying that in my next comment (I think KZ2 sales are good)

But yeah... new game should have a decent amount on shelves especially going into the holidays. This game isn't as big of a seller as we were led to believe. Decent sales for a great racer.

no it is not shipped, they are talking about users driving some distance etc. So this is probably sold to customers.

The difference between VGC and this might be the bundles though... Just a thought.

I'd put my money on those being counted.

10 bucks says they are tracking this with howmany different copies were played on Xbox live.

there is a good chunk of people that play offline and prolly didn't connect to live for them to scan...
