Capcom says sorry for Monster Hunter on Wii

The series could still appear on PlayStation platforms, Capcom says, after apologising to PS3 owners.

November 02, 2007 - In the latest edition of Japanese magazine Famitsu, Capcom's publicity department has apologised to PlayStation 3 owners that may have bought into Sony's new console following the initial announcement of Monster Hunter 3 for the platform. The company advised them, however, that they should wait for further announcements in the series.

When asked specifically whether it was possible that the series could still come to the PlayStation 3 - despite Monster Hunter 3 recently being moved exclusively to Wii - Capcom insisted it had a multiplatform strategy and thus couldn't deny the possibility.

Further games in the series could also appear on the PSP, Capcom said, because the portable series has an important position within the company.

I forgive them, I think they will release Monster Hunter 3 for the PS3, but will wait a little. I think the PS3 version was holding them up, but oh well. I still think its coming to the PS3 more of like a expansion of the Wii version.....

I'm still going to buy Monster Hunter for the PS2 and Monster Hunter Freedom 2 for the PSP....thats alot of Monster Hunting!!!
