£15 for a shirt is pretty resonable considering most (decent t shirts) go for about £25/£45

Now if only they would make a L4D one ....

*chokes* And where are you shopping? That's insanely expensive!

As for what I pay for t-shirts, well... this is the average maximum range I pay. Usually, I get them on sale for $10-11. And ironically, they're the most expensive shirts I own. (Even my dress shirts cost me less!)

Man you are cheap.  $100 is about the minimum for a good dress shirt.

I'd say I'm thrifty, not cheap. But $100 is just plain insane! I can pull off a professional look for less than that! I'll break it into pricing:

2-piece suit: $29.00
Undershirt: ~$1.00
Dress shirt: $3.00
Tie: $3.00
Dress socks: ~$1.00
Dress shoes: $15.00
Total: $52.00

Tilde's are for aggregated costs from a multi-pack, and also, for the record, I paid 10% less than the listed prices because of an employee discount. And if you still think I spent too much, drop the suit for a jacket ($15.00) and a pair of dress pants ($7.00) to save another $7!

Now, I know the next obvious question. Do I have enough for a work week without having to do laundry every day? The answer to that is yes! And some of the other things are even cheaper than the listed prices. (I have a couple of dress shirts that were $2.00. Not enough for a week, though.)

Oh yeah, I guess there's the fact that I don't even know where to go for a shirt over $100. I can even get a Versace shirt for $80, not that I would, mind you. (Plus they don't come in my size.)

I can tell you for a fact your shirt won't look anywhere NEAR as good as the one I just bought for £70

You are the kind of guy that love famous brands right? I bet most of your clothes are from Hugo Boss, Armani and Ralph Lauren.

No, it just so happens the clothes I like are expensive and those brands you mentioned make totally unoriginal clothes so I wouldn't buy from there.

@ioi

Does stuff like adblock plus affect income?
Or do you just get paid due to the ammount of hits on your site?

Well, when I go back to college, I had considered looking at the accounting angle of business. It's all number manipulation, and that's a fun game to me!

(And to the brand name posts, one of the shirts I got for $2 actually was a Ralph Lauren. I refuse to pay a premium to advertise someone's name unless it's something I have a vested interest in. And clothing makers... nope.)

According to most website tracking sites, VGChartz at least has around 4.5 million hits per month.

"VGChartz averages around seven million pageviews per month and is ranked in the top 20 videogame websites worldwide"

http://www.vgchartz.com/welcome.php

What is that top 20?

Because we - a small site - apparently average more pageviews per month and we're nowhere near the top20 I think >_>

Who's "we"? You have more than 8 million pageviews and 675k uniques per month?

Jup, we're above both numbers you state.

www.9lives.be (rather small site compared to the major ones I know as the big players (IGN - Gamespot - Eurogamer - Joystiq - Kotaku - 1Up - ...)

I thought your numbers were low tbh, because our numbers are both verified by Google Analytics and by the national Centre for Media Information.

edit:Quantcast seems to focus solely on web patterns from US citizens, no wonder we don't register on that (similarly as other - even bigger - sites from this part of the world) / unless I'm reading their site wrongly, but still, I'm not lying about our numbers.

@ioi

I didn't know that ad block actually cut income! I guess I'll keep it off from now on.

I was referring more to the "from a website that advertises on VGC, lol :D"

You've seen the Modern Warfare 2, Forza 3, Dragon Age, Assassin's Creed 2, Episodes from Liberty City and all of the other companies that have been advertising on VGC in the last couple of months, right? Not sure why you are making advertising on this site seem like a joke or something?

None of these are Sony products, tho.

No surprise, since you allow members to use their sigspace to copypasta advertisement materials straight from Sony's marketing department.

Oh well, it only does everything! For 299$!
