That's a supposedly one of the things that Suda wanted 'fixed' for this game. I guess we'll know when we see it.

I hope so. I loved the first game except for the overworld.

Unfortunately, the overworld was a huge part of the game.

I've heard word that they are actually remodeling it heavily. Since some corporation has taken over Santa Destroy in NMH2, it has become a brightly colored and commercialized metropolis of sorts.
