Final Fantasy XIII isn't going to br crowned best games of this generation, that title is reserved for Last Guardian (Or Heavy Rain, incase LG doesn't make it. Which that in itself is a impossible situation), with it's unparalleled story and atmosphere.

I don't think that neither FFXIII and Last Guardian are going to be crowned the best game this generation :P

About Last Guardian, if neither ICO nor Shadow Of The Colossus were crowned even GOTY in their respective launch years, what makes you so sure that Last Guardian will? ;)

It will depend on the general consensus of this site in the end of this generation. For me, it will be very difficult to top what Demon's Souls has achieved this generation, so far it's the game of the generation, along side Lost Odyssey, Dissidia and Super Mario Galaxy.

The only ones I can see challenging those spots are Mass Effect 2, Parasite Eve 3rd Birthday, GT5, Lufia 2 remake, Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy VXIII.

There have been amazing games this generation, especially Demon Souls I believed what they wanting to portray and it's execution was perfect.

There's something special about Last Guardian that just make it stand out for me.
