Forums - - Eurogamer: Silent Hill: Shattered Memories Review receives a 9/10

It has been a rocky road getting Silent Hill back on track after the unexplained decision to remove development duties from the original Team Silent, but with Shattered Memories, Climax has found its feet in some style. Packed with inventive ideas and one engaging sequence after another, it's a spirited, poignant and unsettling game that not only delivers a long-overduereturn to form, but reinvigorates horror adventures in the process.

It's always weird when a game gets its highest review score from Eurogamer.

This is no exception. I'm quite surprised. This must either be the epitome of Silent Hill in recent years or Eurogamer is just losing its touch.

Or it could be that they don't let hype get to them.  They seem to base the games they review on their own merits instead of fanboys.  It could be that the previous Silent Hills were enough of a let down to have more realistic expectations for Shattered Memories which is why reviewers so far are genuinely suprised about how much they like Shattered Memories.

Actually this thread has more responses than the first one you opened, so maybe they should delete the first one

OT: Great, though I don't buy based on review scores (I pre-ordered this game), it does give me a warm feeling whenever the game receives a good score.
