Well...... I'M IN!
Everything's apart, and NOTHING is broken, thank goodness. The problem was the white rubber peice on the d-pad wasn't alligned properly, and made button presses akward... I fixed it... it's a shame I had to take the whole thing apart to get to it, though... Putting it back together...
