Would people stop naming great movies as bad? It makes me think some people are turning "I was disappointed" into "OMFG IT SUCKED!"

Seriously, when I came into this thread, I wasn't expecting to see people list films like The Dark Knight and Prisoner of Azkaban. FFS people.

yes, its almost like people have different opinions on things and have the right to express them...

Yeah, but there are some movies that are just clearly not bad.

I actually named 2 that really really suck: Brain dead and drag me to hell.

I dont think Transformers 2 was a good movie, but at least it had good effects, fights and Megan Fox, so it was entertaining in the end.

But the problem is that Drag me to Hell is brillant...

how?

Well it's a mix of horror and some very clever humor elements.

It doesn't take itself seriously and some of these scenes are made with lots of details. Some scenes are like they were made by Stanley Kubrick!

It wasnt scary in any way and it wasnt funny either.

Some effects were really shitty and the acting was crap too. It was a drag to watch.

That might be because you did not understand the movie...

That's what I think.

Drag Me to Hell was an Evil Dead/Army of Darkness wannabe that was overproduced and glossy and didn't have enough originality to be considered anything more than a generic hollywood horror movie.

It almost makes me wish that Raimi wasn't so excited about directing the next Evil Dead. I almost don't trust him with his own franchise anymore, and with Bruce Campbell reluctant to return as Ash, I can't see it turning out good.

yeah but zex, there is hardly anything you DON'T hate

i havent seen that movie, but i quite liked the book.

OT: terminator 3, epic movie and most of disney's sequels (note that i say most and not all)

Not true, I don't hate, let's see, football, RPGs, rugby, black clothes, videogames, football, classic rock, prog, football, nice-looking guys, science-fiction, atheism and football. See, plenty of things there

Though, I do hate most animals, most celebrations and most countries

Suuuuuuuure :P

OT: Nothing comes to mind actually...

I dunno why everyone seems to think I hate FFIX. I don't hate it. I do think it's overrated, the story sucks, and it was a big disappointment, and the worst of the PS1, but it was...let's say decent

Rollerball. Just Roller-fucking-ball. Terrible Terrible movie.

That's about as likely as me playing by somebody elses rules, which I would never do. I only play by my own rules, nobody elses...not even my own.

Drag me to Hell was one of the best horror films of the decade. Criticizing it is a bannable and criminal offense.

And yes, we all know the ending was predictable!

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

I still think its bad, it wasnt funny, scary or anything like the link said, had bad music, bad acting, bad story, bad effects, I dont see what you can praise in that movie. Same with Brain Dead.

Ok pastro, and most of the people that saw it thought it was either funny, scary, both, had great music, good acting, an awesome story (dude! Gypsy Curse!) and some really fun effects.

Instead of trying to figure out how we can all like such a bad movie, try and think that maybe we (and most critics) liked it because it was a great movie.
