No. I've played Final Fantasy 4, 6 (never finished though), 7, 8, 9, 10, 10-2 (never finished either) and 12.

@ Acevil and Son1x

I loved Grandia 2 (One of my favorite jrpgs) but Grandia 3 was lackluster. The Lunar series is FANTASTIC though (except for the spin-offs since I've heard they suck). I want Lunar 3 already. For the Tales series, Tales of the Abyss and Vesperia were awesome, Tales of Legendia was good but Tales of Symphonia sucked IMO. All in all, every series has its downsides.

Why did you stop playing it? and where did you stop?

I forgot were I stopped. I got about 15 hours in. It was the PS1 version I played.

That seems long enough. Why did you stop, though?

Xenogears and Lunar 2.

Oh.
OK, while waiting for FFXIII. Go play the SNES on an emulator. You won't regret it.
Is Lunar 2 any good? I never played any of them, BTW.

Lunar 2 is absolutely AMAZING. Its a masterpiece. Easily one of my favorite jrpgs. You should play it. You should also play Xenogears if you haven't already. Its is BY FAR my favorite jrpg of all time. The best storyline, the deepest characters, one of the best battle systems in a jrpg and the absolute best music I've ever heard in a video game. It was perfection.

I'm actually planning on playing Xenogears this summer (After I finish Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy XIII). I've always wanted to play Xenogears, especially after I heard the soundtrack. It's was absoloutly amazing. I still think Chrono Trigger/Cross music is better, though.

Funny thing is, the person who composed the music from Xenogears is the same person who composed the music for Chrono Trigger. Yasunori Mitsuda >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Nobuo Uemats

I know. That's why I compared it to them.
Yasunori Mitsuda is a genius. One of the greatest video composers of all-time. But to me it's still Nobuo Uematsu > Yasunori Mitsuda

Are you going to play Final Fantasy VI (III SNES) or should I spam your wall everyday so you would play it?

Yoko Shinomura >>>> Every composer in video game history

Who?
*checks her Wikipedia page*

Oh she composed Kingdom hearts music.
Could you point out her best scores/soundtracks?

Kingdom Hearts isn't even her best work :)

Parasite Eve, Legend of Mana, Street Fighter II, Breath Of Fire, Super Mario RPG, Mario&Luigi RPG's, Little King History, Final Fight and she's also the composer for Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Parasite Eve 3rd Birthday and KH: BBS

I hate Kingdom Hearts and its music.

LMAO when I said her best soundtracks, I didn't say her whole discography.
Point out her best two soundtracks from those.

I couldn't disagree with you more. Yasunori Mitsuda is FAR better then Nobuo Uematsu IMO. Also, I'll play FFVI when I get the chance (though it will most likely be after I play Grandia 1).

If he didn't compose Xenogears music you wouldn't have said that, no?
Will that be your first time playing Grandia 1? Grandia 2 was great. I played it twice on my PC.

No. The music Yasunori Mitsuda composed in Xenogears, Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Xenosaga: Epsiode 1 and Arc Rise Fantastic is OUTSTANDING. Its leagues ahead of the music Nobuo Uematsu has ever composed IMO. Also, yes, this will be my first time playing Grandia 1. Grandia 2 was EPIC so I'm expecting nothing but greatness.

@Fab-GS

That's not even 1/5 of her whole discography :P Those are to me the best examples of her work ;)

But if you want one or two true masterpieces of her work, then it's definetily Parasite Eve and Breath Of Fire :)

Only FF12 sucked. I don't see how one bad game can make the series "Diluted". FFX-2 and FF7: DoC are spin-offs so I wouldn't count those.

IMO VIII sucked too, and IX was so-so. And yes, X-2 and DoC were spin-off. I just don´t like, when name is used for better sales.

Oh, btw: Shoji Meguro >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> All peons like Uematsu and Mitsuda

Opa-Opa: I will give XIII a shot, that´s for sure.

Who?

*checks Wikipedia again*

Oh he's who composed Persona soundtracks. Yeah, those are great!

FFVIII didn't suck. How are you!!?!

I was joking when I said her whole discography. lol
I'll check those out. Thanks!

HELL NO!!!!! The music in the Shin Megami Tensei is great and all but it doesn't even come close to the godly music that Mitsuda has composed.

Chrono Cross music >>>>> everything else.
That's something we might agree on, eh?

I guess I'll try Grandia 1.
*adds Grandia to my must-play JRPG list*

@Fab-GS

You're welcome :)

Wait, you haven't played Grandia 1 yet? O____O Heresy!!! Justin and Feena demand that you do!!! *Prepares his Heaven&Earth Slash*

FFVIII did sucks. Bad story (at least the end), stupid main hero (I still have depressions from Squall), rest of chars were for combat only, not enough equipment shuffling (like four wepons for some chars, really), idiotic leveling (when you get levels, game gets actually harder), weird magic obtaining (Draw, Draw, Draw, Draw till the death). Junction system was interesting, but with much mistakes (use spell and you get weaker and weaker. Oh, you can Draw again...), most chars were same in combat (but yes, it´s not problem only in VIII, true).

I don't think I've heard a better soundtrack than FFVI's, so I'll stick with Uematsu... Oh, and whoever wrote the music for FFT, that was genius also.
