I am looking for a Christmas present to buy for someone and I want it to be kind of different. I also kind of want to scare them or freak them out a little bit. I heard that Dead Space is very Creepy so I have some questions...

It is scary if you're playing on the hardest difficulty.

cant speak for the original, but Extraction on the Wii is the scariest game Iv ever played

It depends of what you consider scary. Do you consider movies like Event Horizon or Aliens scary? Do you feel tension and horror in tight, dark corridors without knowing what's ahead of you? Do you fear for your life in horror games with limited ammunition and hard to bring down enemies, if you don't know the trick behind them?

If you answer yes, then Dead Space will scare you till you're drenched out of color :P

I didn't found this game scary, but It's a good Third Person Shooter

yea its pretty creepy/scary. I beat it and there were "OH SHIT!" moments (thats when I "jump" and get a little scared). A friend of mine plays it only when his girlfriend is around, he won't play it by himself lol.

It didn't scare me. But it's still a great game.
