I completely agree with you.  I only buy new.  Both because I want to support the developer and because I'm anal about my games  8).  And at GameCrazy, they keep trying to sell me the used membership or whatever it is called.  Every now and then I have them explain it to me again, thinking I must have missed something last time.  But nope, the thing never sounds worth it, at all.

i usually get the opposite as well, though they seldom bash the PS3 to my face. i can be a real asshole sometimes, hell, they're not serving me food LOL. i went in to get R&C a couple days ago and the idiot seriously wanted to sell me a 360, he simply could not understand that i was not interested, he even told me i could trade in my PS3. that really pissed me off, so i called the area manager, not the store's, and he's sending me a 25% off my next game(CoD4!!)

 You guys are unfortunatley quite mistaken in your assesments. GamStop selling used games is their ONLY source of income. They make a grand total of 1 dollar on every new game they sell. Some might argue that the value that they give you back is paltry, but 25 bucks for a game that you dont want/need anymore is better than nothing (plz rent before you buy). I happen to take offense when you call all Gamestop employees everywhere ignorant idiots..........

well heres a tip , dont ask for OPINIONS if you dont want OPINIONS. and not knowing release dates/ games already out is more a sign of poor customer service. (which is very common these days)

If you do all this reading of reviews/news it sounds like you were looking for some confrontation to me. You didnt really want thier opinion, you wanted video game conversation but you didnt like where they were coming from.

You asked what games were out for the Wii , didnt like all the kiddie titles they rattled off, and came back with games that arent out yet?!

 EBGames and Gamestop are more or less the same store.  They both buy and sell used games, the average employee is dumber than dirt, the both pester you about preordering, tthe both have the idiotic rule where they order only enough of a game to cover preorders +2-5, and they are both owned by the same people.

Retail stores pay about $40 for a game they sell for $50; they don't make $1 on every new game purchase.  I used to work retail and see the price lists.  It's the consoles, not the games, that they make next to nothing on.

Strange ,for what I have heard in north american forums the usual story is the dependants being extremely harsh to Sony and praising the 360 and trying to convince people to buy it instead of the PS3 .

Here in Spain I know some and to say the truth most of them are a bunch of weirdos with their own agenda and trying to push their system of choice ...that most often that not it is the system that is struggling in sales .I still remember one assuring to me the PS2 hadnt anything to do against the Dreamcast ,that DVD was unnecesary for a console and that the DC could do everything the PS2 could but cheaper .

@dgm6780 : I DO want opinions. Magazine critics are just that, sometimes a player's point of view is invaluable (and not purchased like some reviews). I used to own a small chain of retail music stores, you can help people find what they like, not what you dictate they SHOULD like. You missed the point completely. Some of the tiltes were out, I had to show them that they had them in stock after they told me they were not out. I just wanted to know from a real person what they thought of the gameplay. As they continued to bash the system, I reminded them of the good titles coming out. I just didn't feel the need to explain that in an already long story.

@ssj12 : This IS in Florida, in Orange Park. I don't usually shop at this particular store and now I know why.

@Soriku : Gamestop & EB Games are the same company, GS bought EB & Rhino (after Blockbuster bought Rhino) and are in the process of converting most of them to Gamestops.

wow this is the 1st time ive heard of a psfanboy gamestop employee.. the exact opposite of my experiences.. most of the time i go there are nothin but wii and 360 fanboys..
