Well if you were creating topics with a little lighter hype attitude and in a more mature way, I'd be definately happier. You are quiete young, which isn't a bad thing, don't get me wrong. But every single post from you concerning FFXIII is so fanboyish, blindfolded. For example the new FFXIII boxart sucks, so said pretty much everyone in that thread, but you were still unable to cope with that fact. I'm working in a graphic design and I'm also studying semiotics and art at the university. That doesn't make my oppinions judgment, but atleast I can appriciate things as they really are. And what do you know about Lighting? You've seen few pictures and few videos, and yet you can state that she will become the greatest video game character? Get real man. Try to get some distance and than look at the things you say / write.

Also that rain remark is kind of funny from someone living in the UK.

1. Not really, me , boutros, carl & a few others didn't think it sucked, in fact we loved the box art.....you called it a "fact" right....how is it a fact the box art sucked, that can't be a fact, its a matter of opinion

so please use words like "fact" properly, not loosely as you have done......think before you type!

 

2. there are things I have made clear that I don't like about FF13.....Vanille being one of them, who is very annoying from what I  have seen

once again stop generalizing one or two posts I make towards my whole outlook on the game

 

3. YOU have seen a few pictures & video's......but have you read the FF13 novels Square-Enix has published on its official website, if you had you wouldn't say "all we have seen about lightning are a few pictures & videos".....there was a whole chapter on her, we know a lot about her back story now, once again I wouldn't expect you to have read it.

Please stop acting so depressed & glum....no one is forcing you to like FF13, hate it if you want.......... but don't come into my threads whining about FF13 hype.....only more will be thrown back at you!

& no I will not do as you have suggested, that isn't the darth way, its just sick & wrong!

finally  its my opinion that she can become very popular, more than Cloud......I never said she will be the "GREATEST" videogame character, for all Cloud is I find him to be a terrible character, but he's still popular.

She wont even be more popular than Ashe.... Its only a temporary thing. Alot of ppl were worshipping FFXII characters like Ashe back when FFXII was the hot game. The Lighting hype will last for as long as the game is still popular. It wont be as popular as FF7 because it won't be as groundbreaking.

lightning? I dont know. she seems like ashe...... only whinier. she would go perfectly with cloud XD. now, sazh looks like the coolest characters ever made. He just screams awesomeness. to tell you the truth though, I think FFXIII Verses looks way less preachy and melodramatic than the regular FFXIII. I will probably just get it instead.

Noctis has the luxury of having  both fangirls and Fanboys. Lightning not so much.

Cloud is still and will always be the famous FF main protagonist. He can't be replaced just like Mario.

Why do you say this Darth?

I thought Cloud actually had a really interesting personality. 

His character development throught the game is really outstanding. 

On the first disc, he is this cocky guy that seems to face adversity like no other and to have everything under control. 

But then, Aeris is killed and his past completely exposed to him. Those two things haunt him, and destroy his " I'm a tough guy" armor. His inner self is completely exposed. He is a coward, and through a great deal of disc 2, he can't cope with things. 

 

However, the affection for his companions and love for tifa make him come back, and realize that he can't just give all hope without fighting for what is right. 

 

How can you say he had no personality?
