I'm working on a project for a class I'm taking, and I need graphs and/ or charts of gaming statistics, specifically ones that compare popularity of single-player games and multi-player games, if possible. Being that I don't typically look for these things, I have no idea where to look or how to find what I'm looking for. I'm not sure what kind of graphs/ charts this site offers, other than sales, which I don't need. Anyone able to help me out?

Well, obviously I won't be making this for you, but I can help point you in the right direction on how to find said information on this website.

Obviously you won't get a complete breakdown of 1p vs. multiplayer on any chart on this website. Our database isn't complete enough yet to be able to gather than information automatically. Now, what I would do is select maybe the top 25-50 games (single player and multiplayer) for each console this generation. That'll give you 150-300 games worth of data just from consoles which should be more than enough to draw some conclusions on. Sure, it is a bit of legwork, but it is the best resource (with sales) that I know of. You can use this page to narrow down the results to each system and then gather information from that

Another graph/ chart that'd be handy is one that projects the growth rate of the industry for the next few years. Maybe that'd be easier to find? Not having much luck on Google, maybe I'm not looking in the right places...?

I found this, but it isn't the article I'm thinking about. You may have to ask The Source directly for a link to his article where he compared Wii vs. PS2, PS3 vs. GC, and X360 vs. XBox.
