i think agent would come out like a game like bully which wasn't GTA but was still awesome
anyway.

i would add that outside of japan FFXIII will probably move a few systems for both ps3 and 360.  but overall, yeah....it's pretty late in the generation for any one piece of software to really move systems.  natal is probaly the last one left after FF and GT depending on what developers do with that hardware.

Do we even know who is making Agent? The R* brand alone doesn't sell games, they aren't Blizzard/Valve/Blizzard.

It is a sad sign of a person's humanity when they form a brotherhood around an electronic device produced by a corporation whose objective in live is to maximize profits.  You may want to find a traditional religion, which at least offers you hope of there being immortality.  With the Playstation platform, you aren't even guaranteed backwards compatibility.

How exactly is a game about being a spy the same as a game about being a gang member?  Has every game Rockstar done an open sandbox?  We don't have any idea what Agent is about, outside of it is a spy game set during the Cold War.  Do we even have a release date on it?  Rockstar did Bully and Table Tennis also.  I am hard pressed to see those games appealing to the GTA crowd.

Halo: Reach as a system seller?  If Halo 3, ODST, and Halo Wars haven't conviced someone to buy a 360 yet, why is Reach going to?

This is a problem I am seeing with this "system seller" argument for titles at this point, particularly when discussing games that are sequels to titles already out on a system.  When a system is hitting maturity, the only games I see being games that sell systems, are ones that are all new in what they cover, and that has a buzz.  Only other possibility is a price drop that then makes a system more affordable for someone to buy, and they want to get a system at that price point everyone else they know is playing.

I couldn't have said it better, thats sig worthy material right there. The forums are becoming more and more annoying to come to every day and I can see why when users like that are left alone to spew propaganda about an electronic device they worship and the mods don't do anything about it.

Alan Wake a system seller? Who knows about Alan Wake besides a small part of the internet gaming community? And who is willing to shell out $60 on a brand new game that they know nothing about? I'm not saying it is going to be a bad game but a system seller? It just doesn't seem likely.

No singular "system sellers" left, but 360 does have a nice set of exclusives lined up (Halo Reach, Fable III, Alan Wake, Mass Effect 2, Crackdown 2, etc). Not quite as good as Wii or PS3 in terms of exclusives, but still solid all the same.
