Yeah so the question remains: Will MGS4 ever come out?
Apparently SONY remains confident that the PS3 will still be around when the game actually ships:
"What did you think that the ten year lifespan was for?" said an a SONY rep who wished not to be named because he doesn't exist.
PS3 fans remain united, and are not bothered by the frequent delays in game releases: "We actually prefer waiting. It makes you enjoy the games more" said XBX_suXoRZ, to which AIWFCisaPS3 added "We like watching people play games, that is like a lot of fun too...".
Still the question remains, will the PS3 faithful break in and buy a 360? I_LUV_CRBS doesn't seem to think so: "We have the best games. Uncharted, Final Fantasy 13, MGS4, God of War 3, Killzone 2, shall I name more?" Ironically, "Somewhere over the Rainbow" was playing in the distance.
