2) Yes, it is hard. You die very easily, especially in soul form. When you do, you're taken all the way back to the begining of the level you were on and you lose all of your souls and a bloodstain. You can get them back if you go to the point were you died and touched your blood stain but if you were in BODY form, you don't get your body back. Also, if you die again after you've already left one bloodstain, those souls are gone and a new bloodstain appears. Your souls are you money AND exp you need to cash in for stats so losing a ton will leave you pretty pissed. When you die, all monsters you've killed respawn and slightly stronger btw. Basically the game forces you to play better and think b4 acting.

This is where I got it. Ok nice to know this is not true. :)

i dont know why he said that. if that were true i wouldnt be able to get past some levels. I kept dying over and over and over and over and over on this one mob I kept trying to fight... i didn't realized I was suppose to skip him till someone told me... I kept getting his life down real low and I kept thinking "I can do it next time" thats why I kept trying in the first place. If the mobs respwned stronger each time I would have never got back to the guy eventually.... yes... thats how often I died... i would have had to quit the game.

letsdance,

thx you so much for answering my question

but I would REask my last question :

- is there any character developpement of your character or of the NPCs. Is there manuscrit to find and to read that give you information about the game world, universe, country, monster or NPCs ?
you know all these extras that are not need for the gameplay but add a lot to the imersion.

answer : no ?

No character development for you. And throughout the game you meet various NPCs but they don't really develop at all just each one has a different story.

The world aspect in the game isn't very well told... i still don't completely understand it. The link I provided can tell you how to do certain world events better than I could.

I just started playing this week. I have my finals next week. Should be able to play during christmas.

Any advice on what class to choose?

My mistake. When you die in Body form the area you're in drops down one in tendancy. So if you die alot in one area in body form you'll hit Black world tendancy which means stronger enemies, then pure black world tendancy for another increase in difficulty.

Temple Knights are easy... but magic is also suppose to be very over powered.

Dgc - That makes more sense.

The game does not have strong character development of yourself or the NPCs.  You are basically a completely blank slate and you can level up your character any way you see fit.  Any starting class can use any weapon, spell and armor set if you level up the proper stats.  The one exception are a couple gender specific armor sets.

There isn't a lot to read in the game.  The only thing I can think of are item/weapon descriptions.  There isn't a lot of detailed backstory to help give you an idea of what has happened.  You don't really develop an attachment to any of the NPCs.

That said, the game is completely immersive, even without all of that.  The atmosphere in the game is top notch.

Nice to see so much love for this awesome game on VGC.

The game does have character development, it is just subtle... and the story is basically told through the playing of the game and the action of your character. Its not very /wordy/ though. But you definatly have choices on how to do things, and those choices have consequences.. and there are multiple endings, and multiple ways the game can play out as well.

The game is story driven, but it is not /narrative/ driven.
