Good job people. Hating on the game even before a decent gameplay video is released. Bravo!

Not a new thing, unfortunately.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

I see some ppl are talking about how to move the character and thats why its on rails... well couldn't they just do what red steel 2 does? That uses motion plus sword fighting and IR cursor with shooting. You can still move the camera with the IR function.

I just took a sober view on things. But trolls like you are never and will never be satisfied, so why bother...

Arcade Gun Games have stolen the "Rail Shooter" title from it's correct genre classification imo (ie: Rebel Assault, Panzer Dragoon, Space Harrier, Star Fox, etc).  Games like HotD and Time Crisis weren't called rail shooters in the past, dunno why they are now?

Yeah, you're right, for some reason "light gun" games this generation have been called rail shooters, and many feel they have been abused of, so now a rail shooter is seen as a bad thing, as most gamers won't even remember what the genre can actually be like.

Well the "light gun" games are a little different this gen.

For example, lets take HotD 2&3 or Ghost Squad. All you need for these kinds of games is Wiimote (or the gun in arcades). You pick it up and shoot the hell out of it.

Then we have games like Umbrella Chronicles (I guess Darkside Chronicles and Dead Space Extraction as well) where controls aren't as simple as in the previously mentioned ones. You basically need all the buttons. These kinds of games wouldn't work as good in arcades and don't go along with Wii Zapper.

For me, "light gun" games are games like HotD, Time Crisis, CarnEvil, Vampire Night etc., qucik-paced games, where all you need is gun and shoot. Of course there are exceptions like the cover in Time Crisis or the rescue thing in Ghost Squad, but its still simple.

I hope you know what I mean

Sure, but the point is, and I think you'll agree, that Darkside Chronicles, as an exemple, is still much closer to something like House of the Dead 2 than it is to something like Sin and Punishment or Star Fox, gameplay-wise.

I haven't played it yet, but from what I've seen(which I haven't much) and I'm guessing its similar to Umbrella Chronicles, yes. Its much closer to HotD than Star Fox or Sin and Punishment.
