Wait a minute Disolitude are you suggesting game companies are xenophobic in their views on the wars? I find this a ridiculous notion.

No, I think he's suggesting that game companies want to sell a lot of games in the world's biggest market.

Well these games cost a lot of money...and since most of them made in America or western Europe, they have to have somsort of national pride associated with them. 9/11 can only provoke so much desire to reduce countries responsible in to rubble. And cold war has been over for how long? They will jsut run out of enemies... Its just a matter of time before Aliens and Nazis are brought back as they are perfect enemies.

As far as WW2, there is lots of room for more games. I'm still waiting for the first game where you can play as Nazi's and obliterate the Americans and Brits. Think about it...it could have saved Turning Point:Fall of Liberty from being utter shit of a game.

I've also been waiting to play a game as the Nazi's where they win even if it's just a battle or two and not the war.

Like maybe the beginning when they kill France and invade the Soviet Union?

France is a country and not a living entity and can't be killed. The invading the Soviet Union sounds good.

Don't you want to see it from both sides? Experience what everyone went through? You can't learn about a war by just telling in from one perspective, or the perspective of just one nation that was in it and with WW2 and Hollywood that's what we've been seeing for the past 60 years. The problem with that is you don't learn about it objectively but from what that nation wants to convince itself really happened due to their political and personal beliefs.

Facts are rarely welcome then.

As long as the game didn't have any hidden agenda against or for a particular nation and wanted to show you something of the war you never would normally have seen (whilst being immensely entertaining) then I'm for expanding my horizons.

Are you?

Anyway of to watch the Red Baron

Darkest Of Days still kept WW2 alive xD

I like modern games better anyway, cooler scenery, and better guns/equipment

WWII will be back. It's a fantastic setting. I, for one, never got tired of it. And looking at the sales of CoD:WaW, I'm not the only person.

I completely agree. I love WWII, it was one of the best wars in history.
