If it cant play a PSP game then that statement becomes false.

Also, chances are people aren't going to buy a crap looking PSP game to paly solely on their PS3....

There's a reason Nintendo hasn't put Gameboy era titles on VC and has distinctly different download options between DSi and Wii. You don't want to make your products obsolete. You want that Wii owner to go buy a DSi. Just as Sony should want PS3 owners to go buy PSPs.

good for ps3 owners, but bad for buisness. And besides, you can already play psp games on your tv.

Again, we don't know when this will release (if at all), and as nordlead already pointed out, people seem to be buying the PSP for reasons other than gaming (legal gaming anyway). If that is the case, then the PS3 being able to play PSP games should not affect the sales of PSPs (not a lot anyway), but rather add to software sales (and with the current PSP software sales, Sony has good reason for making this move).

Now imagine that the PSP sales are pretty much dead, and the non-BC PSP2 releases in a month. What should stop Sony from releasing this at that point?

Personally, I think that what little damage this might cause will easily be mitigated by added software sales.

Well, some people, like me, would buy games twice... I'd buy maverick hunter X again from PSN just so I can play it on my PS3.. even though I have a video cable for my PSP on the same TV I play PS3 on....

I even used remote play, and played BlazBlue online from my PSP with the video cable on my HDTV... I know that was extremely stupid, but, I felt like doing it.. xD

I think it would be awsome if we were able to play PSP games on the PS3.

There are games like LocoRoco and PataPon that are really really good, but not worth the $200 surcharge of a game system.

That would be great cuz I dont like playing on a small handheld screen, as I never had the money to get a PSP..... but how will the graphics look? as good as the PS2's then Im good.
