Forums - Nintendo - Wii FAILED in sales during Thanksgiving weekend

I loved this comment:
"Your article reminds me of a me of a race, where the guy who finished first is called loser, because he didn’t establish a new world record." (spelling corrected).

The biggest question is why are people (including us) taking a poorly-written blog/blurb about US sales written on an Indian website seriously?

wow that's cherry picking if I ever saw it.....it did better than everyone else and somehow it failed...LOL

uugh, yea this type of trite is being thrown around no matter which company it is , Microsoft, Sony or Nintendo

its getting very pathetic, so they can get a few more hit's to their site.

there's a point in the market when your going to get more Parity in sale's, and it's getting to that point real fast.

there is just too many game devices on the market All of which are good slam dunk device's in my Opinion, each bringing something unique to the game table. but yet People expect one of the system's to keep a large lead over the other's when the other system's are selling pretty da@mn good all while:

d@mn near a world wide recession

you only have so much free time in the day.

the game market has grown not shrunk

and to top it off all the game system's are doing pretty good in the market with very good sale's all around

I just do not see how on earth anyone can say 0VER ONE HALF OF A D@MN million system's sold during a freakin

recession, is a failure!

Rule 64: Nintendo is always doomed, no exceptions

Since Wii is still beating everything in sight, it must be compared to its past in order to show its current doom

That's what I've been saying all along.  In order to troll Wii and claim how it's such a failure nowadays people have to compare it to itself.

Screams desperation if you ask me.

In some fairness, in the business world you're considered to either be growing or dying, and Nintendo isn't growing right now.

According to my textbooks there's also such a concept as 'Stabilization'(which I wont bother explaining as it speaks for itself)...

which I'm pretty sure doesn't mean having profits decline by 30%+

Er...yeah actually I'm quite confident that's exactly what it means...

I'ts a fail if you consider that NSMBWii and th $199 pricetag were supposed to be Wii's magic saviors that would put it up YoY.

Still Nintendo has nothing to worry, for Wii is still beating it's competitors.

Although it is a big week, the point was slump recovery, which matters in the next several weeks as well as this one.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

actually think the Wii fault for selling it, then the Xbox360 so epic failure.

Saludos!!

The DS must be the most ignored yet completely dominating system ever. It seems insane, year after year nary a mention of the DS in the press despite the fact its the fastest selling system ever and will soon be the most sold system ever. It's also pretty safe to say it's the most profitable system ever.

Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

Can someone translate this from nonsense to English for me?

In the Media it's ignored because there is no strife, there is no story

what are they going to say, the DS has yet another record sale's this month...,

there is not much you can say bad about the DS other than maybe the graphic's of some of the game's is not as pretty as some of the other handheld's., which is still pretty silly, because the game's on the DS are just as fun as they are on other handheld's. and i would go as far to say Nintendo has made one of the best handheld game system's in my Opinion maybe even the best. yea some would disagree with me, but i tend to think the way the control's and the overall layout of the DS is better for handheld game system.

even better than my PSP, not that I don't like my PSP i just think the game control's and overall layout for a handheld game system is better design of the DS over the PSP.
