Nintendo Wii Gaming Console Failed in Sales

It was expected that Nintendo’s Wii gaming console succeed in selling during Thanksgiving weekend. But it sometimes happens that monthly sales can be passed ahead by rivals.

According to Nintendo consumers purchased more than 1 million Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi portable systems. Such figure excels all hardware sales record. The Wii was on sale Sony’s PS3 550,00 to 440,000, but as for Microsoft, the company has not yet promulgated its figures, but they say that its sales doubled if compare them with November week’s.

Despite the fact that sold 550,000 Wii consoles within November 22 and 28, one should admit that the figure is considered to be fewer that the nearly 800,000 units sold during the same period in 2008. Someone considers that it happens because of mediocre software. Others suppose that Nintend became slower in creating new gaming titles for the Wii, the company’s major launch was in July, the company offered Wii Sports Resort and later it was Wii Fit Plus in early September.

In October it became known about low profit of 69.5 billion yen ($767.8 million) that was gained during the six-month period ended September 30. But with the same period in 2008 the company got144.83 billion yen.

i'm not sure what he's trying to accomplish - may it be to grab attention;  just plainly misusing the word, "fail" so much; or overlooking the fact that wii's sales is still pulled some massive numbers despite 2008 sales figures

more importantly, it seems that the notion Wii is 'doomed' will never go away anytime soon... or ever

When you can't make something happen, lie that it is and hope you can bend reality. It really is pathetic.

All it shows is that the fad may finally be coming to an end.

I sorta want Natal to be a huge success so Nintendo gets their shit together.

If Nintendo chooses this path, the company’s tombstone will be etched by stone by the “Game Industry” and everything will be said and done to make Nintendo be declared dead or dying in hopes of it occurring in people’s minds will make it occur in reality.

How is it a fad, and how is it ending, its still selling better than PS2 did at the same time, does that make the PS2 a fad?

i want both microsoft's natal and sony's wand to succeed so nintendo can be like....WTF?!?!? lol. seriously, they haven't impressed me all that much with the wii so far. >.

They'll need games if they want to succeed, right now they don't have them
