Forums - Gaming - FF13 Main Quest will be 50 - 60 HOURS LONG.....long enough for you FF fans?

Oh yes, epic grinding confirmed! @_@

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

This game will have atleast 8 hours worth of cutscenes. This game will have us watching it almost as much as playing it. Hopefully I can beat this game. I managed to get to the final boss in FFX but never got around to beat it and got 40 hours of playtime in FFXII before my PS3 corrupted my internal PS2 memory along with 32 hours of Persona 3 FES. I got about 15 hours in FFVII and haven't touched it in the last couple of months.

If the platinum is similar to completing the Sky Pirates Den in FFXII than we're probably looking at something like 150 hours. If there are super rare monsters like in 12 and there's a 'get all items/weapons' trophy than it could be even longer than that.

Proudest Platinums:
1. Gran Turismo 5
2. Persona 4 Arena
3. Wipeout HD
4. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
5. Super Street Fighter 4

Final Fantasy XII was my first 200+ hours (tried to complete all hunts). Before that, i never gone through 100 hours. Final Fantasy X was almost 100 hours.

I hope grinding is actually fun in this FF (unlike FF8 and 12). The battle system better stay fun through out the entire game (unlike pretty much every FF I've ever played).

You didn't like grind in FF VIII?

Degenerator limit for Quistis... and you're done.

Grinding in Final Fantasy 8 was SUCH A CHORE. I HATED it. I love the storyline and the atmosphere that FF8 had though (just the gameplay sucked). I hope FF13 has alot of war like battles like there was in FF8 in the storyline.

@g-value

Grinding as in the drawing of magic or the actual leveling?

Chore? no wai.

Especially with the help of the islands and their red dragons+malboros.

Both. I would get my ass kicked alot in FF8 so I had to level up alot. And the whole magic drawing system sucked donkey balls.
