To be honest, I'd LOVE to see them make an RPG which implements the use of gore and this "zipper technology" we're hearing about...

And call me old fashioned, but I LOVE turn based RPG's, I mean, can you imagine a turn based WRPG with each attack not being the same "run, slash, run back", but have like, 20+ different types of attacks, so instead of seeing the same animation, it can be completely random, and obviously you'd have skills as well...

But I mean, if you look at turn based RPG's at the moment, you have Attack, Skills etc.

When you go to attack, they use the SAME animation every time, how about if they changed it so it's different almost every time, and add stylish dynamic camera angles that move with the character etc, and zoom in as the enemy is getting a "Critical Hit" dealt to them, which would show the player cut one of their limbs off, or even gut them and see their insides pour out...

We need to see some gory RPG's, I haven't seen a single one in my 18 years on this planet, and by gory I mean blood and guts RPG...

How could you miss Fallout 3?!?!?!

Seriously though, would be cool if they actually did that...

Have you ever played a gem called Valkyrie Profile, or Valkyrie Profile 2?

Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)

I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/  hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.

Guro JRPG?

So like, Aerith:

With a hole in her eye and white and red fluid coming out???

Fallout 3 isn't exactly what I meant when I said gory, and to be honest, it doesn't fit the bill as a 100% RPG if you as me, since it's 50% FPS, and I'm not a HUGE fan of the whole "Yay WRPG let's explore everywhere and forget the whole story" type of thing... I mean, sure there's gore, but it gets so boring and it's really unrealistic with it, I mean, I punched someone with the powerfist, in the chest, and one of his legs came off... I use VATS with the hunting rifle to shoot a guys right arm off, his left arm AND head came off... that's not what I wanted...

And when I say gory, I mean, God of War gory, lol...

Can't say I've ever played the Valkyrie Profile games, but I wasn't aware there was any blood/gore in them ? o.O

I was referring along the lines of the battle system. VP2 mainly has a more refined version of 1's battle system. You can control up to 4 players and chain some amazing combo's or could choose to split your party  to set up a pinzer formation, etc. It's kinda like a turn based hybrid but it's not really. 1 is turn based though but the same combo system is in play as far as controlling 4 characters and being able to strategize alot in terms of battle formation, attack patterns, etc. I guarantee if you play through VP 1 and then 2, alot of other RPG's will feel slower and boring.

God of War needs to take a long break after GoW3. The best thing Sony could do is just end it. Let the series go out with a bang. Even if it sells 8 Million or something, they need to let it be remembered as an epic masterpiece.

With whatever they work on next they just need to plaster from the creaters of the God of War series all over it. That is the best thing they can do for God of War.
