It was weeks and weeks ago that High Voltage promised to WOW us with some new stuff on the game and it has just dried up completely.  Anyone know what is going on with the game lately?  Also, where is the news on Animales de la Muerte?

We wait patiently.

Perhaps they're slowly learning to be more careful about releasing screenshots, lest they release pre-alpha stuff that disappoints, as they did in The Conduit

Or something has happened to disrupt development. Who knows.

After overhyping The Conduit I think HVS may be eating a bit of humble pie after the broken online (crashes occasionally when you enter), mediocore reviews and profitable but underwhelming sales.

When you set your game up as 'the best ever' then you're asking for reviewers to slam it if it comes up short.

Better they focus on making The Grinder the best it can be (given their resources) and surprise everyone with how awesome it is than be ridiculed for not living up to the hype.

I say they should be doing that as well, for just those reasons.

I really hope that it surprises everyone. It already looked really polished and a lot of fun. With the polish we are getting from Red Steel 2 with the delay I hope that we get the same polish out of the Grinder.
