The 60's and 70's (let's call them the golden ages ) had a variety of different theme, music now talk about two things only, love and sex. AWESOME!!!

If you don't listen to music from the golden ages, how the hell would you know that they sounded the same?

At least songs from the 20's had all different instruments... It seems like every song in the 70's had the same melody same beat everything... just different lyrics. BORING

Let me just say this.

David Bowie, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Steven Tyler, Mick Jagger, Billy Joel, Ect Ect are all still active and are all legends and will have a career much longer then taylor Swift. Go through all of these singers and you will hear the differences... if not you are crazy.

Um how come all these people are white? Where's the greats like Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey, Diana Ross and so on? Who are all better than those singers.

If you say that sounds the same you are insane. Has a wide variety of instrument. Is very powerful and meaningful. Taylor Swift wishes she could have a song with such a powerful meaning. And... funny thing is... its just so simple with naming historical events... but she will never come up with anything half as good as it. Just because she makes your willy happy doesnt mean shes any good,.

Um it is a fact they are better. In technicality of the their voices they are in fact better singers. Stevie Wonder is easily the best male vocalist ever. And if that wasn't enough, screaming isn't singing, so he would win by default.


Music isn't all about the voice. If it was, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and Marvin Gaye would be the greatest singers of all-time.........

Mariah has the most number 1's ever for a solo artist. She's catching up to the beatles and only needs 2 more... She's obviously doing something right..

Ps3 go learn about music. It's obvious you have no clue what you are talking about since you say all the songs in the 60's and 70's sound the same and are all about drugs... There is no way Taylor Swift will have a 10 year career let alone 50 year career like the legends I've named.

Let me just add another one in for good measure Bruce "The Boss" Springsteen. You want a 70's songs that doesn't sound the same as Pink Floyd... Blinded By The Light.

So if you mean covers make songs great. Umbrella by Rihanna was covered by tons of people 2 years ago. :)

That song did go number 1 and I'm sure people will be singing it 10 years from now.
