I'm 23 bub... and I still know its a joke. Especially to the bar scene AND people of my age group around the city.

It's no joke. I'm almost the same age as you and I don't know anyone around my age that listens to the beatles, Pink Floyd, AC/DC or music you claim that good. The only people I can think of were a small little group of kids in high school.

Didn't you say that music from the 20's - 50's were real music (aka good). ZOMG that means you're 90?!
Again success/popularity doesn't equal quality. You should know that by now.

No, I just don't think music that involved drugs or about yellow submarines are real music... 90% of the music sounded the same and it was straight up boring and involved all the same themes.

All the music now is just "Wah you broke my heart wah wah wah I want to be with you" Go listen to paint it black.. Most of the songs during that era actually had meaning.

"We don't get fooled again!"

Now Paint It Black is a good song! I especially loved the version Gina Glocksen sang on American Idol.

I just think most lyrics back then were ugly and the singers voices were ugly... Just because you're a male doesn't mean you need to sing with a full deep voice. Thank god we have singers like Justin Timberlake, Jay Sean, Maxwell "Who is nominated for lots of Grammys this year too" to break this endless chain of sexism. They are greater singers than all of them and don't sing with full deep voices.

Reputation proceeds me, they told you I'm crazy, I swear I don't love the drama it loves me <3

We are generalizing now eh?
The 60's and 70's (let's call them the golden ages ) had a variety of different theme, music now talk about two things only, love and sex. AWESOME!!!

If you don't listen to music from the golden ages, how the hell would you know that they sounded the same?
Pfff Taylor Swift fans are becoming worse than Christina's fans now.

At least songs from the 20's had all different instruments... It seems like every song in the 70's had the same melody same beat everything... just different lyrics. BORING

Oh wow...

Let me just say this.

David Bowie, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Steven Tyler, Mick Jagger, Billy Joel, Ect Ect are all still active and are all legends and will have a career much longer then taylor Swift. Go through all of these singers and you will hear the differences... if not you are crazy.

Um how come all these people are white? Where's the greats like Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey, Diana Ross and so on? Who are all better than those singers.

LOL... i guess I'm racist for listeningto rock.... I'm sorry. Anyway... no... those singers aren't better than the ones I named. You want a good song. We Didn't Start The Fire. If you say that sounds the same you are insane. Has a wide variety of instrument. Is very powerful and meaningful. Taylor Swift wishes she could have a song with such a powerful meaning. And... funny thing is... its just so simple with naming historical events... but she will never come up with anything half as good as it. Just because she makes your willy happy doesnt mean shes any good,.

Tell me, do those songs sound the same? or talks about drugs?
Again, I'm pretty sure you haven't heard anything before the golden ages.

Um it is a fact they are better. In technicality of the their voices they are in fact better singers. Stevie Wonder is easily the best male vocalist ever. And if that wasn't enough, screaming isn't singing, so he would win by default.
