Forums - Gaming - What's YOUR game of the year 2009 so far?

It's Between Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires(PS3), Tekken 6(PS3), Phantasy Star Portable(PSP), Dissidia: Final Fantasy(PSP), Star Ocean: The Last Hope(360), and lastly Magna Carta II(360) ...

There were 2 games for each of these platforms that HIGHLY impressed or was really fun in general.

PSP = Phantasy Star Portable which came out Early on in the year of 2009 was a fantastic JRPG for PSP, i even put it above Star Ocean: The Last Hope and Magna Carta II in the "Fun Factor" area.

While Dissidia: Final Fantasy is just plain Action/RPG brawler fun for fans of the series... and for people who want to play as sephiroth for the first time evar!

PS3 = There really wasn't any exclusives that were great for me this year for PS3, though i will admit inFamous was surprisly much more fun then i thought it would be, but as great as inFamous was, Both DW6: Empires AND Tekken 6 makes inFamous look like a joke, sure the chaos that you could cause in inFamous was indeed INFAMOUS, but mindless chaos and destruction can only take you so far...

As for DW6: Empires its the only game i have EVER played in all my years of gaming (not many years of gaming but still... around 10 to 12 years but thats still decent for a younger gamer...) where you can make your own personal character as a Ruler and THEN create your own crusade of other create-able characters made by YOU the player, making the EXP of DW6: Empires a ONE-OF-A-KING gaming EXP. wonferful for those who love to express there sense of imagination.

And as for Tekken 6, I never liked Tekken games at all, 1 through 5 i could care less, an all the other spin-off's, nothin' didn't like'um, however, Tekken 6... is so GREAT, i now even put it "Ever" so slighty above SCIV, im still surprised how such a crapy franchise struck gold with the 6th game in the series. i am now looking forward to Tekken 7 and am now a Fan.

360 = Star Ocean: The Last Hope, im a fan of tri-ace, enough said, it was a great game and WAS the best exclusive the 360 had IMO, but you know ever since it went PS3 meh... but since were talking about 2009 here, that means this is true since SO4 has been exclusive this whole entire year on 360, i regret nothing it was a great SO game, even if it was a copy of Till the end of time to some degree.

As for Magna Carta II, its a fun game with neat ideas and really great... assets... *wink* but it could have been better, it reminds me of a weird ass mix of FFXII, Phantasy Star Portable, and IU, its good, but not perfect, i put it above SO4 for the simple fact atleast the characters LOOK there damn age while SO4 takes the Anime style Magna Carta II takes a more realistic style with some anime influence.

Overall, i pick all of the above since they ALL offer'd something unique and outright fun. its a wonderful time to be a gamer i tell you what-what.

Killzone 2 but I haven't played U2 yet.

Also enjoying inFamous.

Miner: Dig Deep. This title came out of nowhere, and totally surprised me. As for more mainstream, that is hard to say. inFamous and Ghostbusters were real good. Assassin's Creed 2 to is awesome also. I also need to finish Uncharted 2.

Uncharted 2 GOTY but demon's souls JUST closely behind
