Alan Wake has the edge over Heavy Rain. Both will be good games.

I never read the OP. My response is driven by extreme fanboyism.

Anyway Alan Wake looks better. I have been waiting too long for that game to be released since 2006. Alan Wake release has been delayed by 4 years.  

Heavy Rain well it looks better than Alan Wake in regards to graphics but just not my style of game. Heavy Rain has never been delayed.

Alan Wake.. seems more solid. But i will try Heavy Rain. Mostly because of the strip scene! ;)

Alan Wake for me since I only own a 360. Heavy Rain does look interesting though and I intend to rent a copy to run through my roommates playstation sometime next year.

I've boycotted both until release. I'm going to go with the one that fulfills my survivor horror needs... Most likely Alan Wake, the one and only video I watched for it reminded me of Max Payne and Silent Hill. Max Payne, my favorite story driven TPS, and Silent Hill, one of my favorite horror games. It's a bummer that it's not open world as promised though :(

To be honest CGI, I don't know what I can categorize HR anymore. Is it a survivor horror?

Probably Heavy Rain if it reviews well to be honest. I think both games might slip to being buy after a month or so when the price drops though as my gaming calender is pretty full next year.

I'll go for Heavy Rain, I enjoy Fahrenheit and I know Heavy rain will a similar experience but far greater because of the improvements. It also piqued my interest because this game has lots of different ending and lot of different scenarios.

Alan Wake is also a great game because it has the Silent Hill feeling to it.

Both because I want them badly.
