Whether or not you believe HipHopGamer on Bungie Studios announcing a PS3 exclusive in 2010 (and without a lick of evidence or sane reason, no one blames you if you don’t), there’s no denying the developer’s busy. Working across multiple unannounced projects, it’s safe to assume the studio is devoting different teams to different tasks, and this presents the question: What exactly are the Halo stalwarts working on?

Allen Murray, Producer at Bungie Studios, has worked on Halo titles for more than 4 years. He’s been involved in every piece of Halo content since then. This includes all the expansions packs, map packs, Halo 3: ODST and the upcoming Halo: Reach. Just recently, this listing was discovered:

Yes, Bungie said Reach would be their last Halo title. But isn’t it conspicuous – and pretty damn weird – to have been producer for “other fine video game wares” from Bungie and list nothing but Halo content (not that they’ve made anything major aside from all teh Haloz)? Hell, this could even be DLC or extra maps for Reach. Whatever the case, despite all rumours, moving on from Halo for Bungie is like moving on from Mario for Nintendo. It’s just never that simple. If this is a new Halo, maybe Bungie will serve to provide the much needed resolution missing from the end of Halo 3, rather than expanding on the franchise with side-stories and prequels.

Hmmm, I don't know. That CV listing really doesn't suggest there will be another Halo project from Bungie. REGARDLESS, if ANYONE thinks that Bungie is not making another Halo game after Reach they are smoking something. Bungie + Halo + Microsoft are a winning formula. They sure as hell are not going to give up on it.

It was confirmed it was a "NEW IP" the day they announced the unannounced title.

Exactly. It's also a massive cash cow for both companies involved.

Seriously, does anyone really believe anything that guy has to say? Most people are more accurate guessing than he is with news from "trusted insiders".

I really hope they make another Halo. IMO it's the best shooter franchise out there and there is so much more to tell... can't wait to finally see the reach storyline in a game.

The 343 Studios team is working on the Halo after Reach. They didn't hire all those people just for Waypoint

doesn't really matter to me considering the wealth of halo's in the market now. i mean microsoft publish an halo like every other two years or so. so more than likely its a tradition for them to bring another halo. halo is one of the best first person shooters that is out there and its microsoft's console mover. some might call it an milk franchise but i believe with the numbers it releases every time a release is made to me its not milked but its a strange addicting franchise that is here to stay.
