U2 - All that you can´t leave behind.

People still listen to U2? Really? I hear Bono's voice and I want to slit my throat nowadays. I can't stand anything post Achtung Baby.

tbh, I could say the same about pretty much all the artists you mentioned, U2's worst song, I would pick over anything by The Killers without hesitating

Bah, there isn't much post-1990 from U2 that I would put over a handful of Killers songs. I don't dislike U2, in fact I love their early stuff, I just got really really tired of them (the same thing happened with REM). Their later stuff just doesn't stand up to their early work. At least REM came back pretty strong with their last album.
And the sound of the Libertines, Modest Mouse, the Lips, and Postal Service make you want to slit your throat? I feel sorry for you. Those are some pretty damned solid bands. The Flaming Lips in particular are one of the best alt bands going over the past decade (MM could be argued there as well, I just prefer the Lips).

Yeah REM's last album was pretty mint, it was just proper rock.
Never really got into Killers, Mr Brightside and Smile Like You Mean It were amazing but I couldn't get into the rest of their stuff.
Also TV on the Radio had one of the best albums of the decade with Return To Cookie Mountain. I was tossing up whether to put that down in my op as well =P

well, there isnt much music that I like (artist wise) but what I do like, I love, most of the more reccent bands ive heard just have no appeal to me at all, I have a pretty unique taste in the respect that I only listen to like 30 or so artists.

You need to start listening to some newer music, my man. :)
Still, I like pretty much every band you list. Good lord, I used to listen to the Roses so much in high school when I was a little mod, listening to Brit rock and ska music.

problem is, most of the stuff I hear just doesnt do it for me, especially some of the more mainstream bands these days, there music just makes me bored or sounds frankly awful imo, maybe im just not listening to the right bands though, lol
I love The Roses, the only band I like more is Oasis, some of Ian Brown's solo stuff is pretty good too
