GOW III selling 10 million day one confirmed

Quoted for truth.  This is a quality series but I don't know anybody outside of video game forums that even know of this game's existence.  Conversely, I've recieved e-mails about Modern Warfare 2.  Everybody without a vagina at my job has asked me if I had MW2.  I swear to God, I went to pick up my daughter from school last Friday.  On my way back to my car, a guy stopped me to tell me how awesome MW2 was. 

GoW3 is probably going to be a higher quality game, but Sony needs to find a way to make this 1st party game as relevant as that 3rd party game.  As Sony's big game (aside from GT5) GoW3 deserves that, doesn't it?

They could make a TV ad showing Kratos ripping Helios' head off. The media would be all over it, criticizing it for being too gory and violent. That would get people's attention, just like MW2 and GTA did.

Well by the way Sony has been marketing stuff lately I don't think we'll have to worry about them under-marketing this game.

i don't like official threads. there's too much stuff on there and i only want to talk about a certain thing (advertising) about the game, and not everything else.

Each game in the series has sold over a million copies in America alone yet what we don't know is an estimated number of gamers who actually use forums.  Atleast half of GoW's fanbase probably don't even read game reviews and sites much.

The way I see it, if Chains of Olympus managed to rack up nearly 2 million sales on the PSP despite the shortness of the game and the overwhelming piracy, a full on console version should sell at least 4 million since it's going to be much larger with a far bigger budget and it's on a system that has 0 piracy.
