We were incredibly busy all day. There was little time to think, and we were basically asking people what they wanted, then it getting for them and getting them out the door ASAP.

As far as systems go, we sold all eight of our ps3 bundles in the first ten minutes. 8 of the 40 or so people lined up had lined up for that bundle. We sold our 360 bundles within the first hour or so (the normal 360 SKU + Batman: Arkham Asylum). As far as regular stock goes, we had sold almost all of our Wiis by the end of the day, all of our 120gb ps3s, and all but three of our 250gb ps3s (but we only had five to begin with). We sold maybe half our 360s, with around 15 left in our stock room by the end of the day (mostly Elites left, with a few Arcades).

As far as games go, NSMBW, AC, CoD, and L4D were easily our top movers. Most of the other stuff we were selling was all used, because of the buy two get one free deal.

Black Friday is crazy. Glad i didn't leave the house.

I didnt get to check out any of the deals today cause of work myself...seems like I didnt miss much since I already have the systems I want. All I missed was the crowds lol

Worked it at Gamestop today. Was quite intense... a lot more so than last year. Not to mention Best Buy, Target, and Wal-Mart around me were full the entire time as well. Software sales were definitely top notch during the time with NSMB Wii, Modern Warfare 2, Left 4 Dead 2, ACII, and general "on sale" games leading the way. System wise, all special edition bundles were gone such as the PS3 bundles, DSi bundles, etc. Wii, 360, and DS sales were consistent throughout the entire day which is no surprise in America.

Of course this just my local gamestop so not representative of anything but I would like to say I think this Black Friday and the weekend after it are going to be about the same if not a little bigger than last year.

Interesting to read about this black friday, especially people that work in the stores. I live in Canada where there is no black friday, but this year some places had sales so people wouldn't cross the border to shop there ( I live near Niagara Falls). I wish we had black friday here though, sounds crazy. We do have Boxing day, the day after Christmas( I don't know if US has boxing day or not), with lots of deals and probably our busiest shopping day of the year.

BestBuy- 9 AM:

-PS3 sold out completely
-360 sold out completely
-2 Wiis left
-DS sold out
-Didn't see PSP, some people were playing a Go display model
- All of the $20/$35 games were gone...shelves were empty.

My local walmart was a complete nightmare. I went around 6 am in order to get a better gps unit, after standing in line for like an hour and a half I didn't get one. But I did notice 2 pallets of Wii's, 2 pallets of Arcade 360's and 1 pallet of PS3 slim in the middle of the electronics area. By the time the morons got done with the GPS line most of all of the Consoles were gone. Looked like the wii and 360 had sold 1 and 3/4 pallets while the PS3 had sold 4/5 of its units. Not many consoles left and I am certain by the end of the day they would be gone.

I asked the lady that was handing out #'s for the consoles if they had more in the back and she told me no, but they may receive more before the day was done.

My wife had to work this morning so she didn't get to see the most of it. So we went back over to wally world after she got off. And all of the 360 arcades $299 Ps3 Slims and wii's were gone. They had a couple elites and modern warfare 2 consoles no WII's and a few of the more epensive models of the PS3. Overall I would imagine it was a good day for gaming sales.

On a side note, I tried to get some of those cheap ass 360 games this morning and I had absoltely no luck. I couldn't believe there were so many people in line that early just for friggin software.

I lined up at a Fry's electronics. Store opened at 5 AM, I left at about 9 AM. I saw a stack of 360s and a stack of PS3s, but it looked like neither was moving that much. To be fair, people go to Fry's for the crazy TV deals. 52" lcd 1080p samsungs were going for $994, those were gone in about 5 minutes.
