Forums - Nintendo - A reviewer makes fun of Ign's review of New Super Mario Bros Wii

^^Speaking of DK, Nintendo could make an awesome Donkey Kong Country game with this game engine. I think we should all revel in NSMBWii excellence. This could be the start of a new videogame renaissance.

Donkey Kong Country was RARE's thing.  It's not getting a fourth game, and I doubt any Nintendo first or second party team wants to use the IP.  If you hate Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat, I doubt you'll ever like another Donkey Kong title again.

Pixel Art can be fun.

I really enjoyed that review....more than most reviews I've seen from IGN, Gametrailers, and 1up, actually. Thanks for turning me on to this guy. I'm subscribing!

I think the IGN review was somewhat like the Edge review in the sense that the reviewer wished Nintendo pushed the envelope a little more in this game.

As for Wario and Waluigi or Princess Peach, theres an interview of Miyamoto where he said he wanted every character to have the same controls for this game, Wario would need to have his signature attacks and same for Peach with her skirt thingy (he mentioned specific attacks I just dont remember them :p).

I play retro 2D Mario games with my best friend in the same room when we decide to do co-op and it's so much fun. I doubt we'd be able to replicate that much fun together online, with online lag and Wii Speak and such. I really don't care that it doesn't have online personally. A missed opertunity? Probably, but there's always next time huh.

My biggest gripe with this game is that it doesn't have its own original god damn theme, i didn't really like New Super Mario Bros. for the DS' soundtrack or main theme, i didn't feel it was as strong as previous Mario titles music and i'm quite upset that they recycled the main theme for use again in this game. Also, the Toad's... there was no explanation for that, they could have at least had Toadette for crying out loud instead of Bucken-Berry and Ala-Gold.

How technical is your game?
