Media Create hardware sales (11/16 – 11/22)

November 26th, 2009 Posted in DS, News, Wii, Written by Valay

Media Create has published the latest hardware sales figures from Japan. The results are below.

DSi LL – 100,553

For comparison’s sake, here are the numbers from November 9 (last week).

PSP 38,770
PS3 38,498
DSi 33,749
Wii 26,764
PSP go 6,427
DS Lite 5,036
Xbox 360 4,124
PS2 2,031

Also, here’s how Famitsu’s data stacks up…

DSi LL – 103,524

DSi – 32,000
PS3 – 29,000
WII – 29,000
PSP go – 4,800
DS Lite – 2,700

The DSi LL made its debut in Japan and sold about 100,000 units according to Media Create. There were no huge changes in numbers from last week, although there were some drops across the board. There will be some significant releases on December 3, so it should be interesting to see how those games affect sales. New Super Mario Bros. Wii received a perfect 40/40 from well-known Japanese magazine Famitsu, and that title is one of the releases that is expected to do well next week.

PS3 and Wii seem to be neck & neck for now.

NINTENDO is so big in Japan.
Wonder why

I am a loyal SONY fan and will always be.

I am also a PS1, PS2, PS3 and a PSP owner.

That's a lot of budget releases for next week.

Good old Media create

Nice numbers all around to be honest.
when the PS3 and Wii are outselling the PSP then thats something to talk about.

PSPgo outselling Xbox 360

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

NSMBW and FF13 has brought more attention back to home consoles, barring Xbox. Good launch for DSi LL. However, I think DSi standard will be above DSi LL once the dust settles. In Japan, Smaller generally = Better.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Conservatives:  Pushing for a small enough government to be a guest in your living room, or even better - your uterus.

Agreed, as does Sony.

Either way, PS3 and Wii will probably remain neck and neck until December 17th. After that, PS3 will win the remainder of the year into at least half of January 2010.

NSMB Wii comes next week................

lol, no.  Wii's going to surge ahead at the start of December.  The 17th is when the PS3 has a shot of making up ground, pretty much it's only shot for the month to be honest.

Next week looks great for PSP releases (Gundam Vs Next+, PSP2) and amazing for Wii (NSMBWii, SM3, Pokepark).  DS only has Powapuro, PS3 only has budget reprints, and 360's just sad. :/
