You guys who keep asking for a traditional controller included as the standard are going to be sad as Hell when this thing finally appears.

for jokes sake, imagine if Nintendo's next console was made of paper and you had to fold it origami style, add the included monochrome LCD screen along with a calculator processor and then you had your console...probably be more fun building the damn thing than actually playing it XD
On a serious note, it'll probably be an upgrade of the current wii, in essence it'll have the specs near the PS3/360 if not just under with a much more improved motion controller to give the accuracy needed for the core gamers and such...I guess we have to wait and see what Nintendo surprise us with.

I agree. Looks like the DSi LL sold 100k in Japan and the normal DSi is doing well on the West. I don't think we will see a new handheld from Nintendo so soon.
all I want is nintendo to not name their console "wii hd" and a kirby console game and it will turn 1+ purchase to the next console on lifetime sales!

I think they only reason they said that was because, at the time, the DS was extremely risky.
hello how are you.
The DS is a monster Success and will break every records. For now, this console isn't going to let a successor. The Wii might see its successor soon, around 2011. I won't be surprised if they hint it on E3 2010.
I'm looking forward a great surprise from Nintendo!
Something that will exceed the 360 and PS3 about 2 or 4x, at least in terms of system RAM. 1 or 2 Gigs of that, with a 2-3GHz processor. A new, integrated online network, though not necessarily a strong social gaming function like LIVE has. I don't really know what they're going for on the controller front.
Holidays 2011, though. I've long advocated that.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

They admitted that themselves.
Also, really, what's the point of having two handhelds when one can do everything the other can and then some (a lot actually :P)?
I mean, it would even make more sense to have a "Game Cube 2" and Wii at the same time then have DS and GBA.
There's no way they'll go back to that "trhee pillar" thing, unless the third pillar is something entirelly different, as DS and Wii, and their sucessors, are the first two pillars now.
But, yeah, I don't think we'll see DS2 just now, but it shouldn't take that long. I mean, they released DSi and now DSi LL so close to each other, I'd think they're quite advanced in the DS2 design already and are trying to get the most out of DS.
All of the above plus change the name to PS3.
I'm Unamerica and you can too.
