I don't understand this dude, ok he wants to protect sweet, innocent kiddies from the big bad gaming monster. does he even know about the consoles having parental controls built in?
Give the parents something to do and free up the gvt to do things that would actually improve peoples lives, not just bury their freedoms under the banner of "for the public good"

Other countrys like France or Spain dont have such problems.

Basically this guy is the Attorney General of South Australia (state) and he has effectively shelved a political discussion and public consultation on the 18+ debate because changes to this particular legislation effectively requires unanimous support among the Attorney Generals of the different states.

It's Attorneys General. i.e. they are Attorneys, they are not Generals.
