"19 pages of damage control."

There are page control options, you know.

And it's only damage control if they thought their games were particularly good BEFORE this announcement. In case you hadn't noticed, they weren't that impressed.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

19 pages of damage control. trolling

I think the best part about this trolling is that the people acting like this is some horrible blow to the Wii were the same people bitching and slamming the console for games like Boogie. So when the studio puts out games like that, it's the worst thing ever. When studio says they may back off, it's not only the worst thing ever but the Wii is also doomed now.

Delicious contradiction.

Tag - "No trolling on my watch!"

Seeya EA, don't let the door hit you on the way out.. 'cos I don't want your ass-prints on my door.

So how come liking the Wii is like wearing a +3 cape of video game publishing? Is it some kind of Malstrom effect going on?

Tease.

As usual, the Nintendo diehards are out, it is NEVER the Wiis fault, NEVER.

This is the funniest damage control ive read in years.

Purchasing a Wii automatically makes you an expert in how to run a game publishin company, you didn't know that ?

Of course 99.99% of the people giving those advices have never run a business in their life, even less a gaming company...But they know better than those that do that as a job !

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

I see your point, but I should also point out that it would be hard to manage EA worse than it's being managed. We're talking about a company enjoying record revenues, downsizing heavily and still losing a huge amount of money.

The best thing I can say about them is that they're debt free... that should give them some breathing room, enabling them to take on some debt to survive a while longer.

"As usual, the Nintendo diehards are out, it is NEVER the Wiis fault, NEVER."

Wrong. They admitted it was a problem when the biggest games of holiday '08 were AC and Wii Music.

And in this case, that's just a strawman. That studio chose to make those mediocre games. The Wii didn't make them.

Well then, what kind of games do you like? I had a lot of genres covered there, but I'm not much of a racing or RPG- so if you are so tell me what your poison is and I bet I could come up with a few.

Also want to mention that just because many casual games don't appeal to us doesn't make them all suck. Sure the one's with broken controls blow no matter what, but liking these games is a matter of taste and expectation. If you want a game where you can mess around with a virtual horse I'm sure My Horsiez or whatever might be a perfect fit. Not everybody wants to play Metroid, COD or Halo. With that said I avoid mini-games like the plague with only a few exceptions (Rabbids, Nintendo stuff mostly).

The games I most recently bought are the MP trilogy, Wii Sports resort, NSMB Wii, Rabbids go home (the one game on your list), enjoyed all of them, but I had no interest in the other games on your list

You know I specifically excluded 1st party games on that list since that was the whole point right? My whole point, which I restated was that there are good 3rd party games for Wii. Which has nothing to do with the many good games Nintendo releases. I was mistaken when I though I was confused. The games you mention are certainly some of the best this year. Rabbids is quite addicting, pulling me of L4D2 right now is pretty hard

See I don't think there are that many, I only own three third party games at the moment, of course those are opinions, which is why I use sales, since opinions differ from person to person, but sales are a hard objective figure

You continue to not answer my question about what kind of games you do like. What do you buy on other consoles? Or do you only like Nintendo games? Its pretty hard to see where you are coming from if you won't tell us anything about what you do like.

look at the games I bought, then you'll know
