I remember reading about people saying the liked Panzer Dragoon on the Sega Saturn, but never heard anything about the Xbox version. I checked the game's page here on VGC and a few people liked PDO.

I'm guessing it is an on-rails game, and if it is backwards compatible might be in my 360 if you guys convince me if it is good enough. Do I have a rare gem sitting in my local gamestore, or is it a dud?

If you have a great home cinema system, then get ready for an experience. The game is a lot of fun, especially if you try get all the upgrades, but its all breath taking to play through.

However, dont bother getting the PAL version as it crashes at the end of the third level on 360.

Great game for its time. Don't know how it fares today though... Should still be solid. The saturn versions haowever...may be a little hurtful on the eyes.

Panzer Dragoon is fav and a half rail shooter with Sin&Punishment..... get it and Sin&Punishment savior

Graphics are still awesome. It's a rail shooter, but with the stunning visuals and break-neck action, you hardly notice. That and you're constantly dealing with enemies in front, back, and to the sides of you. There was lots of times that I wished that the enemies would let up for a minute so that I could enjoy the scenery. Definitely a buy at $6.99 - I paid $15 for mine a year ago.

Worth it unquestionably. It can be a really, REALLY challenging game, but quite rewarding. And even though it's a rail shooter, it actually has a TON of depth in its gameplay that is not immediately apparent (or may not be at all if you play it on easy).

What you should appreciate about the game (particularly starting with the second level) is that the game is immensely beautiful in its art design. Even though its a 1st gen Xbox game, it stands the test of time still because of the art.

Very good game. 360 does a very nice job of emulating this game and it looks fantastic. Pick it up!
