I am pretty sure nintendo fans would be estatic about the main FF series going to the wii. Would everybody else be okay with it though?

The style would probably hearken back to FF9 or crystal chronicles if it did happen.

If the main Final Fantasy series went to the Wii then I would have little choice other than to buy a Wii (although I wouldn't be too happy with the move).

Not much except that I will be disappointed as the graphics won't be as good

In all a disappointing move....but I'lls till be madly hyped for the FF's when they come

the chances of this happening are close to nil

especially if FF13 reaches S-E's PS360 expectations in terms of sales.....there will be no reason to make a "FF15" on wii

besides FF15 is the only Final Fantasy main game that will release this gen (FF13, FF14 platforms have been revealed)

It depends on what the game is like. If the move to the Wii pushes it back to the roots of the series, then I would be ecstatic. If it is the same path the series has been going, I will be indifferent. No matter what console it is on, for me, the experience will be the same.

I wouldn't be estatic, it was more like Final Fantasy 4 or 6 and less like Final Fantasy 7 or 8... Hell FIRE TETSUYA NOMURA or at least not let him in the project at all and maybe, just MAYBE, I would be estatic.

If anything, it would be more Fanboy fodder.

whenever they went back to the "traditional" style fans love (FF9, then FF12) the games sold less than your Nomura influenced FF8/7/10 type ones

BUT I would love the FF6 team (where are those people....are they dead now or retired?) to make a new FF

As long as they keep the IVALICe team away from a main final fantasy (soz khuutra) I'm happy

Final Fantasy XII is far from "traditional".

by traditional I meant "traditional style"...the medieval style from FF4,5,1,2,3,9

even though FF12 was a bit more modern

but the style was VERY different from FF8/7/10 & now the 13th fantasy that arrives soon

I seriously think I would stop gaming.
JRPG is my favorite genre and it's been totally forgotten this gen (on HD consoles).
Final Fantasy will revive the genre (hopefully >.>).

Um.. Final Fantasy XII is probably the most "modern" of all Final Fantasy's with the exception of XIII.
