I knew the DSi LL was bigger compared to other DS but didnt know it was that big compared to the PSP-3000.  The PSP wasnt so comfortable in my pocket so surely this wouldnt be.  When the DSi LL is opened its like holding up 2 PSP (and a bit more) and thats massive. But i guess i shouldve known since the screen was bigger yet you never really see it til its being compared. I wonder about the weight comparison.

Will any of you be picking this new DS up?  Think this model will still sell alot or makes the DS less appealing?

The size is not a problem in my opinion; I like large screens. However, the annoying, consumer unfriendly region locking is what sucks very much. Is there a way to play DSi imports yet? Oh, and the d-pad looks like the same crappy ("who needs diagonals?") d-pad they have been using since DS Lite.

DSi isn't region locked, you're able to play imported retail games on it. DSiWare though is region locked. Don't know about DSi XL.

Nope, DSi-only games and even DSi-enhanced DS games are region locked.

This DS is for the elderly who have a hard time seeing. So no, I won't be picking it up.

EDIT: and I really don't know why people even bother to post about it on the forums as it really isn't meant for us.




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Well, yeah, I was speaking about games compatible with all DS models, but if there that many (or any?) DSi-only/enhanced games? =)

I thought they were going to replace the current DSi no? if not then its not that big of an issue.  Just thought there were those that still complained about how the PSP-3000 is 'too big'.

Like i said in other threads. I am shocked people would even buy this. unless you need the bigger screen for visual reasons.

thought the whole point of the DSlight and all that was for it to get smaller. I think this is ment for the people who dont take the gaming hardware out with them and stuff. which goes against the point of owning a handheld in the first place.

 

Its like having a mobile phone and leaving it at home.

I have a question.

why didn't they make the buttons bigger or more farther apart now they have the extra space?

Pressing those buttons are always a pain in the butt, regardless how old you are
