Forums - Gaming - M.A.G should be on the P.C

Maybe one of the marketing strategies behind MAG is to create a perception of the PS3 to be a more "hardcore" FPS console whore, like the 360 has garnered.

If you were to take away the Halo franchise (of course, hypothetically speaking) from the 360, the perception would probably be that FPS on 360 is no grander than what it is on PS3 now.

so true. And for all the talk about live there isn't a single ded. server or player count over 32.... that seems to be the minimum for ps3 shooters..... sony just doesn't advertise it

Sony's strategy does not allow for their first party games to be on PC. Simple as that.

Any game that is on Sony AND PC, hurts playstation.

cough cough ignoring all of their mmos :P

first party mmos? like what?

It doesn't matter if it would make money, it doesn't matter if the online is better. It goes directly against Sony strategy to have a console exclusive on the PC.

/thread

what if they were exclusive to sony viao's ;D

lol u cracked me up

if they could make it cross console compatible meaning that ps3 owners could play pc, and vice versa

unfortunately that would never be possible.

I appreciate what Sony is trying to do with M.A.G. I am concerned due to the history of PSN being a less active and vibrant community, and instances of there being insufficient people playing games in the past could be a real problem with 256 player games. It's the sort of game that really needs a community with a level of involvement like that of the Xbox 360.

That said, I hope if the game is good that it works out for Sony PSN-wise.

Yea, that history of being less active and vibrant. I wish someone would play COD4 with me right now. All 4.76M of us just don't play online

Everquest

Star Wars Galaxies

There are probably other.

Check out my game about moles ^

I think there´s space for Massive Online FPS....into PS3 legion of users...

BUT... I think it will reach no more than 2 millions in first three months...

It could be more appealling if be offered as PSN downloadable content for a value like $39...
THAN... could be selling like HELL....

I said ...

PC market is a lot bigger than PS3,, but as pointed by others... there´s marketing goals involved..

sorry about my bad english.

PSN: franco-br
MGS4, GH, MW2, GT5p, WipeoutHD, etc..etc..
