I never thought of the PSP Go as being experimental. I understand why Sony released it more now. Personally I think digital distribution is a good idea, just poorly implemented/represented by Sony.

" The PSP is vastly outsold not only by the DS, its main handheld competitor, but by every other console currently on the market with the exception of the PS2" What the hell is this guy talking about? There's 52.8 million psp's out there, with 33.37 million 360's, and 26.68 million ps3's. Doe's anyone know what this guy is talking about? Does this guy know what he's talking about? Is he an idiot? Did he mistake the Atari Lynx sales numbers for the PSP's???
DD is fail. You can't get a refund for your games or buy used ones.
"Set back the digital distribution experiment by years" What are you talking about, digital distribution isn't an experiment. It isn't the future. It is the here and now
Of the 9 main gaming platforms (PSWii60, DS, DSi, PSP, PSP:Go, PC, Iphone)
6 offer a combination of digital distribution and physical media
2 offers digital distribution only
1 offer physical media only
i can gaurantee the go will continue to sell alongside the psp 3000
...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...
PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk
really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

Oh yeah, it also dominated software sales. Selling a ton of units is worthless when you can't move software. People don't even buy the Sony games.
I guess people just want a portable porn viewer.

Steam working is not a good example to use against why the PSP Go isn't. Sony just handled the PSP Go all wrong. There were ways to make it more successful than it is and that.

That's what I meant. The PSP go's failure can't kill digital distribution, as there are other successful DD systems.

Well calling the PSP a killer of digital distribution isn't true. If anything, its only had a tiny impact on moving digital distribution forward.
