Well, its HDMI port is. Yesterday, I was using it as normal, a few games, a bluray here and there (Planet Earth...), and suddenly, when I go for another Wipeout HD sesh, the screen is blank. Annoyed, I reset the thing, then the display settings. Put it to 'HDMI' again, but no joy. Blankness.

It would seem that the HDMI port has died, and only 14 months after I bought it... just outside of warranty, infuriatingly so in fact.

Very annoyed right now.

have you tried using a different cord or plugging something else into the tv's hdmi port?

I rented MW 2 on the ps3 at blockbuster when I got to play it my ps3 turned yellow. I only got to play for 2 minutes

Yeah, thankfully no yellow lights here. I'm relegated from crisp 1080p to lowly SCART and I want to cry over my once-beautiful Wipeout graphics.

Luckily I just beat Uncharted 2, so no pain there. But I don't know what the hell I'm going to do.

And no, it isn't the cable or the tv, because my laptop has a HDMI port, and it runs into the tv in 1080p just fine (like, right now).

Yeah zzyoshiman, I think ours are from the same bad batch, lol. We're PS3-failmates.
