Wow, the Xbox 360 version of PES actually sold more than the PS3 version? I thought that the football lovers were mostly staying with the Playstation brand, but it seems that many of them migrated to the 360 from the PS2. And regarding PC sales, it's not going to be like that in many European countries... PES sells quite well on PC in Portugal and in Germany for example. |
Well, some places have reported the PS3 version has some pretty crappy slowdowns... and by some places, I think the desginer himself said so. That and the UK seems to be a Hybrid American/Europe market. They hold more Europeon prefrences, yet console buying wise they seem to lean more towards the American market. I'd assume this is because they got a lot more earlier videogames from Nintendo and the like as opposed to other parts of europe that didn't get to many serious offerings until the Playstation era. |
As usual you dont know what you speak about .The Sega Megadrive and the Super Nes were probably as big in Europe as in North America .ANd before that the NES wasnt very popular (nintendo didnt distribute it here officially but throught concessions to other firms ,as for example Spaco in my country ) but the Sega Master System had its fair share of success in the late eighties .Before that the consoles didnt have any ground simply because the gaming was done in the computers ,both 8 bits (Spectrum ,C64 ,Amstrad CPC ,MSX ) and 16 bits (Amiga and Atari ST ) most of whom dwarfed the consoles in numbers of games released ,quality ,graphics (teh 16 bits ones for sure ) and affordability of the games .Just to make an example the games now are 65euros but back in the Megadrive-Snes days they were already 60 euros (we are talking the late eighties early nineties ).Some 4Mb Megadrive games and the Sega Master System and NEs games were about 42-45 euros back then (I am converting the prices as the euro didnt exist back then ) .Games on the 16 bits computers were about 12-15 euros and far more advanced that the Nes offerings so no wonder the Nes didnt have success here ,it was worse and more expensive and not even officially distributed by Nintendo .
