Don't see a reason why this would eat at windows market.

It's Linux underneath. Everything Linux can do, it can also do. So it is 'standard'. With the appropriate packages I'm sure you could uninstall the Chrome frontend and make it into a GNOME/KDE desktop. |
I don't concider linux standard :P
Linux is often a hassle to work with compaired to windows, this looks like it's too simple.. I hope they make a os more in the veins of windows, but not quite as heavy, with some unique features and a good support of software already released. I realise that's very difficult and maybe even impossible, but it would help break the os market up some more.
I'm hoping well see $199 netbooks after this come out, windows is a real drain on the netbook market.
With $299 Win7 netbooks, that can do pretty much anything but play high-powered games or a/v production, why would anyone want a netbook that just browses the web (unless it is waaaaaaaaay cheaper).
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
Go stick it on your PC to stick it to M$...lol. I'll stick with Windows 7, which is a wunderkund!
I could not possibly be LESS interested in Chrome OS. If I decide to buy a netbook, and it has it preinstalled great. If not, pffft. Problem is, PSP is the next thing I'll buy, and that (along with my DS) will keep me busy on the road.
As for the desktop, Win7 all the way, baby!
